Web Forms Best Practice To Retrieve Dynamic Server Control Values?

I populate web form with dynamic list of exams from database. I want user to enter examination marks for each exam. There is list of exam titles and textbox near each title.I create list with repeater control (ViewState is disabled)

i have assigned few values to 10 dynamically created text fields

above string i have displayed in front end thrgh response.write i.e by assigning string abc to viewstate. also i am tryin to genetrate above input fields from database , so i have to make it dynamic in a loop. so when a user updates any of those dynamically created fields i need to retreive those values in a loop

I would like to ask you what is the best practice for developing composite user web control with multiple controls inside from the stand point of dealing with properieties. In my situation I would like to use header menu bar with logos, buttons, java baset visible/hidden menus itc as web control. I was successfull in implementing new control in my project.
But my question goes to issue of properties for ALL OF controls. I know how to hard code all required properties like: text, visible, enable for all controls. It's a lot of work. ( This is the very edge of my asp.net comprehension ) Is there a more elegant way provide an access to controls's properties without hard coding seperatelly?

Let's say we need to pass values around in the same page or from page to page in an ASP.NET 3.5 web app. The values do not need to be maintained after the user leaves the session. Our options include creating a Session state variable, a ViewState variable, or creating global variables in a standalone class.
Limitations
Session state variables can be passed from page to page but usually have a timeout limit. I think the default timeout is 20 minutes. So the value could be lost if the user walks away from their desk in the middle of something and doesn't return for half an hour.
ViewState variables can only be passed around within a page. Leave the page, the variable is emptied. Dropping lots of values into ViewState can drag down performance.
Global variables in a standalone class.???
Where are the values for global variables stored? Are the stored in Session state and subject to the same timeouts or does the app allocate memory space for these variables?

I am building an appplication in Flex which shows and lets edit values from a SQL Server DB. To start out, I made a Web Service which verifies the username and password. I hava a simpe table with two columns: username and password I managed to send values to the web service but I am stuck with the logic to verify that the username is the same as in the DB.

time for some expertise. I have a datalist which contains a radiobutton in the itemtemplate. This radiobutton is disabled (set enabled to false) by default. On the html output I have a checkbox, which, when ticked, enables the radiobuttons through javascript. This is all working fine. The rb's are enabled and I can check them. However when the page is posted back. The checked property is always false.
I use the code below to retrieve the value of this rb:

This code is working fine when the initial state of the radiobuttons set to enabled server side.

My Listview control contains 4 columns and 30 rows.I can retrieve the row number by using:

How do I then get values from one or all 4 columns?I was trying:

I'm using a detailsview control to update a record, however in this particular case there's only one field that can be changed out of a many. The update method for my object takes all fields as parameters. When the detailsview's updating method fires, the values for the readonly fields (those rendered as a Label) are not available in the e.NewValues collection.
I'm currently grabbing a reference to the object when the detailsview is databound (in the objectdatasource selected event handler), storing it in session and manually adding entries to the e.NewValues collection when updating fires. It works but seems kind of heavy handed. So, is there a better way to get the read only values back into my update method? Or is there a better way of doing this altogether?

My problem is regarding title written above. Currently I have some functions that rely on Sessions to do the job. Everything works smoothly when it is left to default. However, I do not like the idea of losing sessions in case of crash and I have modified my web.config to use Sql Server mode instead.
I have run the necessary commands to create tables and stored procedures in my database using aspnet_sql.exe. I am able to store values into the database but have not been successful retrieving them. Since it has been working fine with InProc mode, I think I can safely assume that there's nothing wrong with my codes. Here's my web.config setting:

a pure html table will be generated on the client side. (using jQuery to add dynamic new rows to the table when the user clicks a button).
These rows contain textboxes, dropdownlists, checkboxes and other input controls.
When the user clicks a button, a PostBack is triggered in which I need to access this data from the table on the server side, validate it (yes all rows at once) and perform other actions on it.
I'm able to perform the client side and access the table data on server side by adding runat="server" to the table tag. However, I only see the initial table rows (not the ones added through JavaScript) and I have troubles retrieving the different inputs from the rows.

I created a ASP.Net page with dynamic controls. These controls are added by the user. In the Page_Load event a table is created with few controls.
When these dynamic controls do a postback, I can't get the values of these controls, because in my HTML code they are not available.
I only get the id of the control which triggers the postback. But I can't find it with the command FindControl. All other controls, which a are not added dynamicly are searchable.

I have a form in a page and a panel inside the form.The panel gets loaded with dynamic controls like radio button and text boxes.
User is allowed to choose any radio option and enter any value in the textbox beside it and then goes for submit button to move to next stage.
Problem Descritopn:
I load the controls in the panel based on the index of a combo control on the same form.it is done in selectedIndexChanged - This is working fine.
When i go for the submit button and ask for the textbox control, it says "object reference not set to instance of object", denoting that instance is not available. Moreover the panel control list gets empty automatically.

I have a hidden variable and its value is being updated using javascript(client side) which I make a call from server side code. After making the call I am not able to retrieve the updated value from Server side variable. I went through this forum [URL] but not able find a way how to implement functionality with IFRAME. I have the following code which creates a treeview of a folder and files on my PC. The front-end code is the following:

The result is a web page that allows me to navigate down to individual music files within various folders. Beside each music file is a checkbox.What I want to do is select several files and then click a button that will move the selected files from their existing location to another location. I'm running into two problems. One, whenever I add any control that performs a postback, the treeview doesn't repopulate. Two, I don't know how to retreive the values of the checked checkboxes.
