I have a below Page title in my master page
<title>My Test Application NameŽ</title>
It renders Fine with Register symbol after the text "My Test Application Name" on start of the page but on any postback the title turn into My Test Application NameŽ Kindly let me know what can i do with minimal effort to fix this issue
My master page looks like:

Content pages look like:
<asp:Content ID="TitleContent1"
ContentPlaceHolderID="PageTitlePlaceHolder" runat="Server">

This works by placing the content page specific title on the page ("My Page" in this example). Now I want to add a global prefix to the title in my master page for the site name. So I want:
<head runat="server">
<title>
Example.com:
<asp:ContentPlaceHolder ID="PageTitlePlaceHolder" runat="server" />
</title>
However, when I do this content pages are still rendered without "Example.com" in the tile, it's like it's ignored.
Why is this happening and how can I achieve this?
I have a controller's action and view page that uses a master page.
The master page has the html title section like:
<title>this is the page's title</html>
How can I access this section from within my controller's action (preferably) or my action's view page?

I have a simple page inside a master page (well, in a master in a master).
In the top master I have the head tag with runat="server", with a number of bits such as scripts, stylesheets, etc. and also a contentplaceholder. There is no title tag here.
In the page that uses this master, the content for the placeholder contains the
<title>pagename</title> bit in it. I really have to set it in there.
Unfortunately when the page is rendered I get my title which is all good, but also get a second blank title tag - I presume dumped in there by .NET.
Is there any way of stopping this second title tag coming out?

If I set Title="foo" in the <%@ Page directive of my content page, how do I reference it in the code behind of my master page? I need to use it in a Select Case.

I have a simple form (textbox, submit button) which is wrapped in an update panel.

I type some text in the textbox, click submit, then the server creates a database record and returns an object, which has properties like ID, Name, URL, Blah, etc. These are the values that the script requires.
So if i were to call a web service from the client-code, in order to get the values that were just created, i would need to do some hacks (get last record modified that has the value of the textbox). Not ideal, and neither is two AJAX calls for one form post. (update panel postback, then web service call).

EXPLANATION: The checkbox with togglebutton is to mark the page I am on as a favorite. I want this checkbox to be positioned 2px to the left of the TitleLabel span.
I'm creating a bilingual website (Arabic and English VS2005),I'm using resource files to store my site strings. The problem is that my page title is not changging when I change the language, my title resource key is:

I am using timer control and update panel to change my page title based of how many new mails are coming just like the way gmail behaves. But the thing is it only works for the content or display the count right in my lblMailCount, but the page title never changes.

i have a page called a1.aspx, with the Masterpagefile = a1_master.master. Now the master page has its own divs and images for design purposes. I want a way where when i load a1.aspx, certain chosen 's and images should be hidden(visible=false). how can i do this? how can i change the visibility of a div or an image in the master page from the content page?
