my code is calculate to current rowafter update quantity but other rows don't affect and not calculate i need to calculate all rows i think i need to use for loops but i dont know how to do it
My database is SQL and i am using a stored procedure as under. The output is almost correct and i want to rectfy a small error in it
ALTER PROCEDURE [dbo].[Report]( @year int, @month int ) AS
BEGIN
SET NOCOUNT ON
declare @d smalldatetime declare @total int
[CODE]...
in the above procedure i didnt use the str_dt which is the person joined in that comapnt initially. The mistake i had noticed is that if a person joines in 3 jan 2014 and the date and year selected in dropdownlist is Dec 2013. The person who had joined in 3 Jan 2014 is also gets displayed in it. but it should not be.
I just want to calculate the Grand Total of the quantity. So basically i want to sum up all the quantity for each row and show the total at the bottom of the page. I don't want to use the total and the price column in this example. How can i modify this code and just sum up only the total quantity without referencing the price and the total? here is the javascript
<script type="text/javascript"> $(function () { $("[id*=txtQuantity]").val("0"); }); $("[id*=txtQuantity]").live("change", function () { if (isNaN(parseInt($(this).val()))) { $(this).val('0'); } else {
I have a requirement like need to get the numbers from diffrent tables and calculate the growth rate using the formula like ((number2-number1)/number1)*100 and bind it to gridview. Right now I am getting the numbers from each table, calculating growth rate @code behind and save the result into temp table and next getting the result from temp table and bind it to gridview. this is very lengthy process and low performanance.
How to do growth rate on the fly and bind it to gridview. Finally the gridview data should be growth rate desc order.
In the following link the writer clearly explains. how to use it.

but I also want to calculate the the total salary of column (Salary) nd the total count should be shpown in footer which will be below of salary last column. How to acheive it.
Binding the Remarks label as footer in my second gridview.
Here's the image
I set the DataKeyName of the Parent gridview to EmpNo and LeaveTraId, I wanted to pull those datakeys up to include in my query getting the value Remarks field from database.
I used OnRowDataBound event of parent grid to populate the second grid.
I have an ambitious requirement for an asp.net 2.0 web page that contains a table (gridview), and each row in the grid contains 6 select (dropdown) controls for data entry. The number of rows that will be displayed is dependent upon the user's search parameters, which are specified in another area of the page. Unfortunately, with the default (and even basic) search parameters specified, the grid could contain several hundred rows. I've noticed that the browser, in this case IE8, starts behaving rather erratically once I reach a large number of rows -- no documented evidence for the number of rows where this begins to be a problem. For example, trying to view the source of the page results in a message from IE stating that there was a problem with the page that forced the browser to reload it, and I never get the source. Obviously the page loads and renders rather slowly also.
I know that my solution is probably going to involve paging the gridview such that it only displays 20 or so rows per page, and I'll have to write code to handle the saving of changes in the dropdown values when the user changes pages. I can probably turn off viewstate on the gridview also. However, the question I really want to pose is this -- has anyone seen a documented rule indicating the maximum number of input controls that an HTML browser form is supposed to be able to contain? I could not find anything on the Internet after doing a search, and I suspect the answer may be whatever the browser can handle based on the machine configuration it is running on. Any rules of thumb you use?
I have following codebehind in ASPx - VB.Net in my aspx project, i want sum a template column (txtAmount) to show another TXSum template (without any postback) any one give me a better soluation in javascript.
I have a table where each month I need to find the SkipUtgang value of current month (ex: 779) and the value of SkipUtgang in previous month (ex: 788); then Sum the two values; and finally multiply the result with the number of day of current month (ex: 31). as example, I have the below table:
I'm trying to use an objectdatasource and populate it with a query that has "or" in its where statement. eg: select * from customers where customer_id = "34" or "35" or "36"The problem is... I don't know ahead of time how many of these "or" conditions there will be - the user can choose as many or as few as they want. It seems that if I want to use an objectdatasource tied to a tableadpater I'm forced to know the number of parameters ahead of time so that I can build the objectdatasource's input parameters e.inputparameters.add doesn't work, because the key (in this case "id") is the same for each parameter because the where statment has "or"s....
