Forms Data Controls :: Return Only Record(s) For Current User?

I want to return only the record or records from one table "tblUserInfo" to my details control where the records are related to the currently logged in user. I have a field in the "tblUserInfo" table named "UserName" that contains the value that is displayed as the current user name when the user logs in. My connections string is located in the WebConfig file and is being recogonized by VWD as being a connteciton string.
I have the following Select statement defined and also tried to set the parameter value to pass to the select statement. Obviously I missed something:

What I am trying is, whenever user enters his Name and Address into the textbox on the webpage, I am going to displaying it in a Gridview. Now if second member will do the same thing thing the GridView will be updated and his Name and Address will display in second row and likewise for other users. But what happened in my code is when second user will try to add his record, it remove the record of first user and add the record of second at row1. I want the record should be added one after another. below is my code

I have a delete button bellow my gridview and I want a pop up to show when no record is selected and tell the user to first select a record. The button click event would show the pop up, but my gridview data blanks out.

I have a question on a simple application - menu's which contain 0...x recipies. I have a formview, and in the formview I have a dropdownlist. The query that populates the dropdownlist depends on the formview's current record ID, how do I get that to put into my data source?
Note that I would prefer not to use the RouteParameter that gives the Formview it's ID as the RouteParameter doesn't use the formview's primary key as I'm using the menu name instead

Initially I display all the records in the gridview. Then based on the search I fetch certain records and display it.. When I try to edit any retrieved record, the control automatically tries to edit the first record instead of editing the selected record.. What should I change in the code to make it work?

I have a gridview and a detailsview in a page. when the "current record" (the cursor) is pacing along the gridview, the detailsview, which has the same datasource with the gridview, should keep the pace with the gridview.

I have a page, let's called that Parameter page, displaying data from a database table using GridView. (The database is a SQL database.) I allow editing of data in GridView. The GridView uses stored procedure to retrieve data and to update data. In my project, users need to log in before using my asp.net project. So at every page, I know who the current user is by using HttpContext.Current.User.Identity.Name. Now as requirement changes, I need to record who has changed what (row) in the Parameter page. The information is to be written to a new table - audit log. Therefore I do not expect to change the Parameter table structure.
I have modified the stored procedure retrieving data. It returns one more column - an empty column with name currentUser. So GridView will create one more column. After data bound, I have the GridView_DataBound() to popluate that column using HttpContext.Current.User.Identity.Name.
I debug it in Visual Studio and am able to see the name of current log in user as the last column in GridView. I change the update stored procedure to take in one more parameter. That parameter, currentUser, takes default value. The default value is an empty string. So if UI part fails to send in the current user name to stored procedure, it just write the empty string as the user name. I change the <asp:SqlDataSource>. I add a <asp:Parameter> for currentUser.

I debug in Visual Studio. However when I save the change, the SQL profiler shows UI sends in @currentUser as NULL. Why?

I followed this BRILLIANT article and found out how to make a data layer, i just need the insert method in this code to return the ID of the record inserted.
For example, when the user captures the details, the save button is clicked, i will want to display in a label "Your Reference Number is "
try and have look at the article so you will understand how the code is, so it will not be hard to edit my code.

vs2010, .NET 4.0I have a webmethod which I want to return a data record (for example: name, surename, address, age, zip etc)I wonder how to accomplish this. I think the solution is about creating an object which contains all the records serialized. And then the webmethod returns this serialized object. I'm not 100% sure how to accomplish this, if some of you good provide me with some tips, tutorial or link to an article explaining it, that would be great

Having trouble with a web page and connecting to SQL DB. Basically I have a form view table connected up to a SQLDataSourceControl and what I want displayed in the form is only data that has been assigned to the user that is logged on now. I have a "ViewAll" page, which lists EVERY field, regardless of who it is assigned to, but the "MyTasks" page should only retrieve the data of the current user.
I have two tables in my DB, the "Users" table, with user data (including an ID number) - this is used again in the "Tasks" table as a foreign key called "AssignTo". Therefore if user Joe Bloggs with ID number 5 logs on, whenever someone assigns a task to him, they will select number 5 in the "Task" table, as this relates to his User ID.

i have design a web application having suppliers table using SqlDatasource..
i have a master page in my design and other form are bound to a context menu..
Now i have displayed the records in the gridview..all i wanted is after i select a record in the gridview it will display the selected record in detailview from another aspx form..
i was able to create the link to another aspx form but the data that it display is the first data from the gridview not the data that i select.

I've got a sp as below:
The functionality I want to achieve is that when isHomePageFeatured is checked then this record is set to 1 for that column and for all the other records in the table it is set to 0.
This is fine for update as I can use the property Id to compare against, but for the newly inserted record it doesn't yet have a propertyId so I wondered if using newID() to affect all other records would have the same affect.

Into below code which is working fine, but the last section which started from using (SqlCommand SendMailcmd ... update it as i want when the user click on the button the code take the AdsID and (QAdsEmail "the user email") and send an e-mail to user depending on QAdsEmail and inside the email create a link to URL... so the user when he receive the mail he can click on it and move to the page to edit his Ad info ...
The table where below info will store in is called "ads" and the column that's need for sending email with ad info/the E-mail part of the code below i just copy it from another part of my application ...

Suppose I have an asp:Repeater that I am using to display a list of names and phone numbers.

</asp:Repeater>
Now, let's make it more fun. Let's suppose that there is one or more phone number per name. I feel like I could use a repeater within a repeater to repeat the phone numbers. I could also use a for loop in my asp code. However, the Eval function is the only way I know of to access the current record at runtime and Eval only returns a string and only runs in <%# Eval("X") %>. How can I get the list of phone numbers that is a member of the current record?

I am just wondering whether it is possible to return the name of the view an ascx control is currently being rendered in? Is there an object I can use to access the name?
Basically I want the control to dynamically set certain text within itself dependant on the view it is rendered within.
