and the problem is that there is also second error in ErrorMasterPage of Error.aspx

and CustomError can not handle the second error while its like a loop ( it will redirect to error.aspx and Masterpage of Error.aspx has Error.
Example:
Login.aspx(has Error) -> Error.aspx -> ErrorMasterPage.Master (has Error) -> Show Yellow Page

Feb 24, 2010In my app i have a master page that all content pages use. I would like to have a centralized area inside my master page that would handle displaying of error messages. So on my master page I would have the following this is where the content goes So when I would submit a content page, placeholder named "ErrorPlaceHolder" would be found and error would be displayed in the pages "Pre Render" event..I guess. How would I do that?

a) I'm running XP 64 bitsb) Classic ASP is checked in Add/Remove Windows Component
c) "Active Server Pages" is set to Allowed in IIS Web Service Extension
d) .asp is mapped in the Application ConfigurationNo luck so far!!! Accessing a HTML file within the same folder work, but not the ASP page.

i create controllers for user name UserController.cs inside of all function related user are in
in views folder i create one more folder name User.
all user forms are there
everything working fine i can create, update ,delete user.
but now i am getting error.
when i run my code.. got below error...

i tried with cleaning and re-building code... iisreset
clean temp file, cleaning app_browser folder..

Nov 1, 2010I have been tasked with implementing a strategy to catch all errors in an ASP.net application which cause a user request or interaction to crash and then e-mailk this exception to a support team in advance of a user calling about the error.Some errors however are not causing the page to crash or be redirected to the custom error page but these are being emailed to the support team instead of simply being loggedMy requirement is to seperate what exception types will cause a page fail and which will not.Example I am currently receiving a System.Web.HttpUnHandledException which is not causing any page to fall over and therefore is not of relevance to the support team. this can be logged but does not require emailing.

Feb 19, 2010I have a page that have a combobox and a button, when the user select something from the combobox and hit the Go button they are redirected to the page with the desired variable.

The problem appears when the page was not used from more than 20 minutes and the user select something from the comboBox and hit Go Button the receive a page indicating the Error 404.The only thing that I try is to use a javascript code that Refresh the page every 15 minutes but is not nice to see a page refreshing without a reason.If someone can have a way to identify what can be done in this problem, Its going to be a huge help.
Recycle Application Mod_Mono 2.8 / Getting A 404 Not Found Error Page?
Dec 14, 2010I have a CentOS 5.x server running Mono 2.8.1 and mod_mono 2.8 with apache2.
Every time I deploy a site from visual studio 2010 to my server by ftp, and navigate to the site, I get a 404 not found error page.
Sites in other subdomains (virtual hosts) are not affected.
Performing a restart of httpd using /etc/init.d/httpd restart fixes the problem, and I can view my ASP site again. Obviously restarting the entire httpd process is less than adequate.
My guess is that this is similar to application domains in IIS. Is there a way to 'recycle' and app domain in mod_mono? Can I set this to happen on deployment?

I want if somebody looks for html page which does not exist should also be taken to error page.[URL]( What about html pages section) will only work if the site is hosted at my servers, but in my case the website is hosted somewhere else.

Dec 25, 2010In my website users can create thier own websites by making folder of thier choice like: [URL] Where the folders Pankaj and Adam are storing in database. I just want that when user after creting thier website just clicked or type the address of thier website as [URL] then if the folder with name Pankaj exists in database then the page will open otherwise it gives the http 404 page not found error. And while the address [URL] is opens then i donot want to physically create it on server. My requirement is that i want to open it by the concept of url rewriting/ Routing. Which one concept will be good for this. And can anyone provide some code with example that how can i achieve this easily.

When I run the application, 1st page, second page, 3rd page I get Url on page as:
localhost:2069/TestPage/FirstPage.aspx
localhost:2069/TestPage/SecondPage.aspx
localhost:2069/TestPage/ThirdPage.aspx
theycan be accessible.
also when i click on 4th Page, I get url as:
localhost:2069/TestPage/Admin/FourthPage.aspx
and 4th page will get displayed.But..When i go back to any other page, it will throw an error
"Resource cannot be found"
with URL as:
localhost:2069/TestPage/Admin/ThirdPage.aspx
How to avoid this Error?

Jul 27, 2010I've a web application which is running on sql state session ..
And is running well under normal conditions.
But when my application is in home page or landing page after loging to the application,
if user clears all his history and cookies and click on any menu in the application .
It is giving Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage error..
I'm not able to debug the error.. am getting the same problem even under deploying conditions.
How to handle this issue?

Apr 12, 2010I have implemented a custom ErrorController with NoAccess Action returning the View "~/Error/NoAccess" (not inside the Shared folder).
I have also modified the web.config file and add a custom error "<error statusCode="403" redirect="~/Error/NoAccess" />" node.
Each time i enter to an anauthorized page, i get redirected to the logon page (even though i am already logged on). I would to modify the default asp.net mvc authorization functionality and each time a user tries to enter a page that is not authorized to get an "NoAccess" page instead of redirecting to the login page.

May 7, 2015I have a data driven asp.net website with frames on the top, left, right and center screen. If a page generates an error on any of the frames, I want to redirect the whole site back to the Default.aspx. Currently, when a frame page errors in one of the frames, that frame gets the error pages. Site is URL.... Is this something that can be handled?

Here I know the issue what's going on.This issue is occurring because i am using AJAX to partially load the contents of the tabs after the initial page load so the error is occurring AFTER my master page has been loaded.What I need to do is provide a javascript function to handle the error after the ajax call has returned and redirect to the error page.How to write this Javascript and where Do I need to write this?

Jul 22, 2010I just tested a new aspx-website and in the debug mode it works fine.
But when I publish it on the server 2003 with IIS6 then it works first and after several requests I get an error message page not found.
The page itself exists and I think that it is only unavailable on the server.

Feb 23, 2010A website's default page is setup as follows:http://mysite.com/myapp/ ==> http://mysite.com/myapp/views/default.aspxAs you can see the only thing a little out of the ordinary is that the default page is in a subdirectory (views)If I access the page via the default URL (http://mysite.com/myapp/) the form tag looks like this<form name="aspnetForm" method="post" action="default.aspx" id="aspnetForm">The problem is that the page posts back to http://mysite.com/myapp/default.aspx (missing the "/views/" part of the path) which is a non-existent page, so I get a Page Not Found (404) error.

1) Windows 7, vs2010 rc, mvc 2rc2, .Net 3.5
2) Winodws xp, vs2008, mvc 2rc2, .Net 3.5
My Hosting is in GOdaddy IIS 7, .Net 3.5.
I created a new project in both computers, i build it, i copied the 3 dll's files in the bin folder (System.Web.Mvc, System.Web.Routing, system.Web.Abstractions), and i publish them...., i go to my website [URL] both same problem "Page Not Found"
I tried many blogs...many advices...nothing yet...
AJAX :: ScriptManager Not Found On The Page (although It Is On Page)?
Feb 3, 2011I've upgraded my web application from ASP.NET 2.0 framework to 3.5. I've also updated AJAX toolkit from 2.0 to 3.5. The updated was made on 20th of January.
However today the application started giving me error that there is no ScriptManager on the page although it's (I'm using AJAX ModalPopupExtender on 2 pages). I didn't change anything on the pages except yesterday I've added one ASCX control to both pages but problem doesn't disappear even if I remove the control.
Basically the thing stopped working for no particular reason. I will try to reinstall the AJAX toolkit and I think that there are maybe somethings to change in web config but it's strange since it worked perfectly until few hours ago.

VS 2010 - Handling File Not Found Exception From HttpHandler
Oct 27, 2011I'm using a HttpHandler to intercept PDF file download requests and modify the PDF file. I'm stuck on what to do if the requested file doesn't exist on the webserver. If I handle the Exception and return an empty response, it gives the user a 0 byte file to download. If I ignore the Exception, then ASP.NET catches it and the user is redirected to my unfriendly customError page.
