I have a page that refresh itself after pushing a button, after it refreshes , password text box lost its value. Before it was keeping the value of the password textbox, I have added some code to page that do nothing with the textboxes, I have also tried EnableViewState = "True".
But still other textboxes keep their value except password.
I am developing an application using Visual Studio 2010 and SQLServer 2008. My application has two pages and the first page contains a GridView with all the records "User Administration" and when user click on any Username (template field ->linkbutton) I read the USERID like this.

which takes it to the Data Entry page where user updates the information and save the data.
The problem i am facing is that when I hit the browser REFRESH button couple of times the session variables looses the value which is trouble for me as I am using Session Variables for different purposes.
I've got an application that uses jquery ui datepicker on an asp.net textbox control.The control is working as intended, but I've noticed that when you postback from a server call (via submit button), the entered value gets lost in the application.Was wondering if you all have experienced this? I have this code to check if the textbox is empty on lost focus. Setting IsAutoPostBack = True and using TexTChanged.

The problem is when I make any no changes on Textbox1 and goes to the next textbox, this code doesn't work. so I cant trace if the textbox is empty or not

The function FilterText(this) only set a timeout before fire postback.
i have a text box with autopostback= true
as in the TextChanged event i have code to get details from database.
i need to check if the text value is empty. if yes need to alert/ display a message and prevent further process.
else fetch the details frm database.
surfed the net and found that onblur and autopostback= true cannot be used for the same textbox.
whts the alternative forr acheving the desired result.
Actually i have Textbox in Repeater, while entering value to the textbox and comes out from the textbox, the data which entered in textbox should stored in database.

I have a problem when I try to pass in paramaters for a report in my report viewer. I have set up the ObjectDataSource and set the paramaters for 3 text boxes that are on the page. The only way I have found to set the paramaters for the report is the user must fill in the paramaters and hit the refresh button on the Report Viewer toolbar ,but I would like to have the user click a asp.net button insted. Is there anyway to call the refresh method from codebehind?

It is supposed to refresh every night.... refresh is done by other vendor(3rd party).... we dont know what method(technology) they use to refresh the databases....

I have a table on my page. I need to scroll down a little to get to that table. In that table i have som data that i edit and save to database. When the save is done i need to refresh the page( Response.Redirect(Request.RawUrl )) so it loads the new data to that table. When the refresh is done the page is on top again so that i need to scroll down again to see the table. This makes it very unusable for the user.
How can i refresh the page without it going back to top again? I tryed wrapping an updatepanel around the table but it didnt

System.Web.HttpContext.Current.Request.ServerVariables["REMOTE_ADDR"]
This all works well in regular page loads and gets my ip address, but when i for example let a user place a comment, then the ip address is lost after postback and i get an empty string returned.
Given this Global.asax.cs:

Second inspection of user's ASP.NET_SessionId cookie still shows ublbhu45ji31e055ywqu0555
Why is the user shown Introduction.apsx the second time inside the same ASP.NET Session? I'm familiar w/ the risk in setting session variables just before a redirect in the same postback, but that doesn't apply here, right?
