Dec 10, 2010I've created a static table, which looks just as I would expect it to, but I want to reduce my work in the future, as I'll need to create more rows and columns to store extra data that's added to my application.
So rather than creating new rows and columns whenever I need to, I'd like to automate the task by pulling the data from the database and populating a table that's dynamically created based on how much data is pulled.
e.g. if there are 10 rows of items in the database, create 10 columns and 10 rows, if a further 5 things get added next week, I want to add another 5 rows and 5 columns etc
Is this where "Dynamic Data" would play a role? If so, it's completely new to me, my needs are just for a single table on a page, not something that needs to be done en'masse all over the website, if that makes a difference?

Oct 26, 2010I have some reports in my web application, there are such 6 reports in which data came from database , by some logic I added data rows and some dummy rows in beteen data rows like blank rows and heading of bunch of data rows like that so finally we get output as we want. Now i have to export all reports into excel sheet where each reports (all 6 reports) should put in different sheet in excel workbook. I can do for one report in which i just give HTML Table and render it in to .xls file but i dont know how to render second report in second sheet in same excle file.
I know if i have dataset we can put each datatable in dataset in different sheet but i can't use dataset or datatable because in reports depending upon logic i added dummy rows So i have to find the way to add HTML table in different sheets of same excel workbook

Jul 22, 2010I have a requirement where I need to generate a pdf doc.I am using itextlibrary for that condition.I am able to generate pdf doc but alignment is not correct.The table is getting divided in to two equal parts for two columns in pdf doc for what ever width I specify.For ex if I have set width as 650px its not taking that width in pdf doc instead it is taking full doc.How to set the table at desired location in pdf doc and set width of columns.I tried to set width of column in the html table but its not working.

Jul 26, 2010I have an odd problem. I have 2 divs on a page side by side. The first div floats left and has normal orientation. The second div floats right and contains only a single table that contains labels but no form fields. This table needs to have an orientation of -90 degrees. In other words, the text reads from bottom to top, left to right instead of the normal English right to left, top to bottom. I can't seem to find anything on how to do this other than using an image file which won't work because the labels need to get filled from a database.
