But when i go to Design View of the page (for creating the events automatically or for drag/drop any new control from toolbox, I don't want to type everything) the design view only shows the master page! the page controls are complete ignored!

I just put yahoo for testing purposes. So basically I see "Click on the link below to activate your account" and then "Click Here" with no link.

there is no record related to DropDownList1.SelectedValue. but as i am counting if(dt.rows.count) and i put break point on the bolded part it shows 1 record. how it can be possible?

Feb 24, 2010I am outputting the content of a page from a subroutine. The weird thing is, the code behind is writing this to my aspx page. <asp:Hyperlink ID="HyperLink1" runat="server" CssClass="HoverMenuText">more</asp:HyperLink>
When the page is viewed live, the hyperlink is not a hyperlink because using the browser to "View Source", the html shows the exact same line! It wasn't converted to the format like "<a id="ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_HyperLinkHover">HoverMenuTest</a>" So for some reason, the server is not converting this asp control to an html control. Any ideas why it wouldn't do that?

Aug 19, 2010I am redirecting between two pages, when I use a hyperlink I get the Page1 in the UrlReferrer field, but using Response.Redirect gives it null.
AFAIK both of them act similarly for a redirection.

May 7, 2015i am using date field in sql table , and in webforms , i am using a textbox relating to calendar extender toolkit , now if i won't select anydate from calendar , on debugging it shows "" but in database it shows 1900-01-01 . what's this going on ? i have also written on button click event :

ADO.Net EF, Inheritance Table Shows But Not The Model?
Mar 27, 2011I have created a Entity named MediaItem which is Abstract and Game inherits form it. I create the database automatically and I get a table MediaItems and MediaItems_Game.
The issue is when I do the following in my ASP.Net Controller:
private Models.DBContainer dataModel = new DBContainer();
dataModel. ---> Intellisense shows me MediaItem but I can find no way to either navigate to or use MediaItems_Game, how can I solve this? i.e. How can I grab a list of 'Games' with some 'WHERE' constraints on another table (not pictured).
MVC :: How To Run A Test And When It Returns A View When ModelState Is Invalid - Nothing Shows Up
Jul 26, 2010I've been working with MVC 2 for awhile and ive done ReturnToAction as well as ValidationSummary - but this is a little different in that my "submit" buttons are controls by javascript/JQuery - i debug the action and it does go into the correct Controller Action but once it passes over RedirecToAction, nothing happens....
My second problem is that my ValidationSummary fails to show - i run a test and when it returns a View when ModelState is invalid - nothing shows up
Is it a problem with my buttons/forms/submit/JQuery?

My Services handle things like validation, I pass it the ModelState and a ModelStateDictionary wrapper and add errors - am i adding errors incorrectly?

AJAX :: Designer View Shows Accordion Error
Jan 8, 2011I have an Error in the design view when I use the ajax toolkit. it says rendering Control Accordion - An unhandled exception has occurred. Collection was modified; enumeration operation may not execute. I have the relevant service pack, download ajax toolkit and I have used the appropriate declerations on the top of the page, I hope. I haven't yet even put anything on the page and the designer view shows the above error.

the page is not showing in the main page just shows pdf reader loading then nothing happens. Even when i try to load another page which of type aspx same case its not being showed in the main page only windows authenticating box appears then page sleeps
however when i create the iframe using the page markup its being correct for both cases.
