Javascript - Disable Buttonset While Keeping Default Style?
Dec 3, 2010
Is there a way where I can disable a buttonset in jQuery UI but prevent the buttonsets style from changing to the "grayed out" look when setting the buttons to disabled?
I have tried simply handling the click event of the buttons. IE:
I am guessing my best bet is to apply the style from the buttonset to non jQuery generated ones and setting them to disabled yeah? Only reason I am wanting to avoid this as in future the ability to click the buttons will be enabled
I've uppgraded to version 4 of framework and notice that menucontrol is now able to render as <ul><li>, witch is perfect. But I notice that it adds a style element and set class for each node.
renderd page html
[Code]....
Is there a way to remove this so I can set my own style?
I am using the jQueryUI buttonset on an ASP.NET radiobuttonlist. I need to get the selected value in server-side code when the page posts back. If I don't apply the jQuery buttonset, this is of course easy enough - just grab "SelectedValue". However, when I do apply jQuery buttonset, the selected value does not appear to be available on postback any longer. Is there any way around this, or do I need to get the selected value on clientside, and then pass it back myself?
I am having problems disabling the autoinsertion of quotes for the 'style' and 'class' attributes on VS2008 SP1 on 64-bit Windows 7.
When I type:
<div class="
I end up with
<div class="""
In Tools->Options->Text Editor->HTML->Format, I set "Insert attribute value quotes when typing" off (and "...when formatting" is also deselected) but it still seems to insert the quotes.
why automatic quotes might be disabled for everything but style and class attributes?
I have a simple javascipt which enables/disables some checkboxes when another checkbox ticked/unticked. This works fine, however, in some instances when by page is loaded my code behind disables the same check boxes. When this happenes my original check box nolonger seems to have any influence in enableing or disabling - there is no error and all the elements seem to be found by the javascript - it just doesn't enable/disable the checkboxes.
I'm trying to include script and style references that will not break on deployment, however I can not even get the references to work locally. I have tried using Url.Content() and MVCContrib's <%=Html.ScriptInclude("")%>.
My scripts are in a Scripts folder on the root of the site; my styles are in the usual Content/css/ folder.
i want the code to disable default selection in dropdownlist in asp.net and also on selection of a particular data field the values are displayed in the txtbox below.the dropdown should be filled with system related data like eg c:drive, d ... etc dynamically at run time.
For some reason, i have to make a aspx page to let iphone/android to Post form. After the data processing of request.form , i have response a JSON string in plain text. However *.aspx will enforce to render html,head,body tag,so how can i disable it?
I cannot use ashx, because the mobile have to post image via form, as i search the answer by google ,ashx cannot handle the http post files.
Edit: As SLaks said, ashx can handle POST file using "context.Request.Files" and it works.
My problem occurs when the user presses the enter key when the input field is in focus. When he presses the enter key the browser automatically fires by default the next button. In my case it is the delete operation.
I'm looking to disable my requiredfieldvalidator when I have a my outer div's display set to none. I'm using this to toggle billing and shipping panels on the client side using jquery by removing them from view without a page refresh.
I am trying to display a new panel after the user clicks an add button, for some reason this is not working (it refreshes the page as well, even though my button has a return true) I have tried different ways, but nothing seems to work that well.
Here is my problem. I have on multiple occasions downloaded jQuery UI and tried to use it. What happens, though, is that in the examples provided in the download the UI elements look great, but in my pages when I try to use them all the formatting and style stuff is messed up. Here is an example of a date picker:
For my page (an '.aspx' page, if that makes any difference) I have all the images in the image folder one level below the css file, just as it is in the example folder, and the script files are all together in another folder. Is there something I need that I don't have. I shouldn't need the "demo.css" file, should I? Is there a special naming convention for items in the form of the site? Is there some special way that I need to have the folders/css files/source scripts set up, like a certain folder configuration, to make it work? Kind of lost on this one. Probably a really simple fix, but I'm pretty new to using this.
We got a requirement to implment following structure of table (It's a sample; data source is dynamic). Notice that there are intermediate Total (sum) values for the month. If we have the data source (Date and Amount) besides Total, which is calculated out, generate this kind of table-style layout dynamitcally?
Date Amount ========================== 1 Nov 300 22 Nov 500 30 Nov 200 Total 1000 5 Dec 100 28 Dec 200 Total 300
This is annoying, because I have to apply this style to every single thumbnail image individually, when there could be any number of them on the screen at any given time. All of the thumbnails are inside a single <div> that groups them together, and I'd like to apply a single style to the <div> that will push the attributes I need down to all of the the <img> elements nested inside, regardless how many thumbnails there are.
I am using asp menu.I want to disable it and enable it using javascript.

I want to disable a ASP.NET RequiredFieldValidator with JavaScript. Actually I'm using the following code:
function doSomething() { var myVal = document.getElementById('myValidatorClientID'); ValidatorEnable(myVal, false); }
This disables the validator. But my problem is, that I'm using a ValidationSummary. And this summary shows the validation message, even if I disable the validator.
how to disable the validator in the ValidationSummary too?
