When I want to get the output values its okay but I also want returning a table as a result data.But Datareader has no rows.is it possible if I want a returning query result and multiple output values togather ?I wrote a test above.I can get output values as sqlparameters. But Datareader attached to a Gridview is empty.can you detect whats wrong here and it doesnt return a query result.So stored procedure is not standart or ı am doing something wrong.this doesnt raise any exception.but not returning any data.

Currently I am implementing code from this example. In my aspx file, I have Label1 and Textbox1 defined. In my aspx.cs file, I am setting the Label1.Text property to a random string in the Page_Load method.
In the .js file I have included, I have:

I'm having an issue coming up with an appropriate code design to implement a search page using linq to sql for my DDL. I think the best way for me to explain where I'm at is describing what I've done in the past, before linq. Lets say we have a basic search page with various user input controls for search options... for simplicity, let's say there are two main ways the user can search.
1. a dropdown filled with account numbers. When that drop down is changed and an account number is selected, a gridview needs to be populated with all the records for that account.
2. the second way is a dropdown for choosing what field you want to search, a textbox for entering what you want to search for, and a button to execute that search. In the past, just using straight ado.net
I would handle each of these two search options separately within the events of the dropdown list and the button, respectively. In selectedIndexChanged for 1, and in the buttonClick event for 2, I would construct my sqlCommand etc., ultimately returning a dataset or datatable which I would then bind to the gridview. The logic was separated by the two different event handlers. Now, fast forward to linq to sql and I have a similar page layout, but I am using the linqdatasource selecting event to build my where conditions. Now the difference is *everything*, all the logic, is now in this one event handler, which search option did the user run? Could I somehow craft an IQueryable <T> within each of the input controls event handlers (like the button click, or selectedIndexChanged of the dropdown) and pass that in to the linqdatasource's selecting event? that way my logic stays logically separated...
further, after this initial search is done and results are bound to a gridview, I have several other dropdown lists that appear for search refinement. I need to keep track of that top level query, and each of the refinements... and again, right now it looks like everything is going into the linqdatasource selecting event and I get the feeling it shouldn't be... using the selecting event enables my paging and sorting to work, so I want to use that, but again, it's turning out that I'm putting *everything* there, like all the page's logic, and I'm thinking that is not good? if I could just pass in the actually query, like an IQueryable<T>, and keep my logic separated.
I am trying to go to a view with a speicifed batchId parameter wrapped in a ViewModel, pick a file to upload, get the uploaded file back and store the file data w/ the associated BatchId value in a database.When the form is submitted I don't know how to get back the viewmodel and the PostedFileBase so that I can get the BatchId value.I need the batchId value to associate it with the data I am storing in the database.I have the following Action Method in my Controller to allow adding new customers to the specified batch by means of a file upload and import:

In the second action, there's a custom model binder that's assembling the account object that I'm acting on, though that's really not important. This all works fine in testing locally on a server.We try to be pretty good about writing unit tests to test all our different views are properly getting routed to, including those that are HTTP POST. To do so, we've been using mvccontrib's test helper.
Testing gets have been super simple

My question is in testing POST routes, how do I write the lambda that I would use to verify the post is receiving accurate values, similar to the GET test above?
For a POST, it looks something like:
"~/account/foo".
WithMethod(HttpVerbs.Post).
ShouldMapTo<AccountController>(a => something_something);
It's the something_something portion of my lambda that I'm having trouble with. Using arbitrary values doesn't work ("a => a.Foo(0, new Account()"). How would I specify the expected values as part of the test?EDIT I was hoping there was something akin to the way Moq has lambdas for statements such as foo.Setup(s => s.Foo(It.IsAny(), It.Is(i => i > 32)) and so on. Even I have to explicitly supply the values, that's workable--I just can't seem to grok the desired structure to pass those explicit values.

I have a dropdown list that contains a collection of names. My entire names list is very large (over 2,000) so I would like to pair down the names in the drop down list to those starting with the same letter.To do this I would like to have 26 links all on the same line, one for each letter in the alphabet ..

The idea being that the user clicks on the letter they are interested in and the stored procedure that obtains the list of names is re-executed to only grab those names starting with the letter that was clicked and then the resulting dataset is rebound to the dropdown list.
What is vexing me is how to handle creating all the "Click Events" necessary to deal with the user "clicking" on a link. I could create 26 different event handlers, one for each link, but I have to believe there is a simpler way I am not seeing.Form demonstration here is the click event for one link, the letter "A" ...

I have a scenario where...
1.) Have created a div with a dropdown list and ok, cancel button
2.) On document ready - registering div created on step 1 into a jQuery dialog
3.) on a javascript button click - I am opening this dialog box.
4.) Now, the problem is - the jQuery dialogbox which I have created, needs to be used by other button clicks as well on same page. Now, my div's (which is a dialog at runtime using jQuery) ok button click is already engaged with a javascript function (button1 click) and I can not associate other button's click events with it - thus stuck up here and have no clues or hit to resolve this.

Which is the best way (in performance and security) to send multiple parameters to a web page (on a different server), considering that the length of the parameters may vary because I'm sending a list of products, and the customer may have selected more than one product, so we need to send each product on the querystring to the other page. For example (I'm on C#); I want to call a web page like this:
Simple Querystring: thepage.asp?Product=1&Name=Coffee&Value=1.99

(Obviouly considering we can't send special characters via querystring, but I put them here for better understanding) Which will be the better way (performance, security)?

I have 2 forms on one page. 1 search form which only contains a text field and a submit button and 1 registration form which has a few required fields. The search form need to post data to search.aspx.

I don't know it's even possible but I try to achieve to post data from one page to another using the second form.The problem is I need a form tag for the user interface containing callback panels etc. I want to put a second form with some hidden-field:

I got a form with 2 listboxes , the listboxes pass data to each other using jQuery , and i want the data on the 2nd listboxI will upload all the code including the javascript just in case , altough , if it is something totally basic you dont need to look on it because it does works , I am showing all the code just in case
