This "CheckOut.aspx" has a UpdatePanel and inside the update panel is a Gridview,
my problem is when ever i made changes in the data of the gridview, the changes does not automatically displayed/showed/materialized in the gridview when ever i click the linkbutton to open Checkout.aspx page, temporarily i place a refresh button to do a server request and place Gridview.databind(); on its click event to update the gridview but when i close the Modaldialog, and open it again, the Checkout page is not updated again.
i try the <META-Refresh> thing, i try the location.reload(true) thing but it does not update my table.

Feb 9, 2010I have a gridview, and I set the datasource in page_load to a linq query. I have delete linkbutton in the grid and am writing code in gridview1_rowdeleting event to delete the record from the table and all its records in child tables. Works fine, except when I databind() after the deletes to refresh the grid, it thinks there are no records left in the table and goes to the <emptytemplate> . There are in fact many other records that should appear. When I go out of the gridview and come back in, everything is fine. The proper records have all been deleted, and the remaining ones show. Here is the code. the table being displayed is Schedule. It has child records in the two other tables.

Nov 3, 2010I have a table on my page. I need to scroll down a little to get to that table. In that table i have som data that i edit and save to database. When the save is done i need to refresh the page( Response.Redirect(Request.RawUrl )) so it loads the new data to that table. When the refresh is done the page is on top again so that i need to scroll down again to see the table. This makes it very unusable for the user.
How can i refresh the page without it going back to top again? I tryed wrapping an updatepanel around the table but it didnt

Mar 21, 2010 i'm opening a new window and passing on to it variables in a querystring, the values are loaded into a function that is filling my dataset and then filling my Gridview. after i press the button field in my grid to delete an item, the databind doesn't show the updated grid but remains the same. i've noticed that if i navigate back and refresh i see it correctly. in FF btw no problem.

btw the @fldbranch is pulling from a dropdownlist and so it the @year but the @cat is just defined always as 'LEAN' But im not sure what to put inside the select() part. i know you have to put atasourceselectarguments.empty if no parameters, but what would I do here since their are 3?

Jan 21, 2011Assuming i have two dropdownlists namely: dropdownlistA and dropdownlistB. at page load, i bind values to dropdownlistA. however, depending on the value selected or displayed in dropdownlistA, i want to bind data to dropdownlistB.
Currently, i can bind data to dropdownlistA alright and i already have the required dataset and datatable bind data to dropdownlist. However, dropdownlistB does not bind at page load since the criteria for filling the dataset to bind dropdownlistB (which is the value of dropdownlistA) is not selected. how can i make this wwork.
I am currently considered if this might work. If i were to call the databind for dropdownlistA in a different declared method besides its binding in page load, and select the value from bind in the declared method, would any value be selected?
For example:
In during page load, i call the a method that returns dataset values which i bind to dropdownlistA(caseIDDropDownList). then i call another method (CreateexhibitDataSet()) which contains the dataset values for binding dropdownlistB(exhibitDropDownList). however, i need to define a criteria in the CreateExhibitDataset() method which i will use to generate the dataset values to bind dropdownlistB. if i were to call for the data bind of dropdownlistA(caseIDDropdownList) again in the CreateExhibitDataset() method and pick the value in the dropdown list, would i get any values?
How can i work around this to bind both dropdownlists on page load?

In order to resolve the path I need to call databind using Page.Header.DataBind(); What event should I place the databind call in?

When I put it in Page_Load as the article it works (only for firefox), but I wonder if this is the correct place.
When I follow this article IE 8 renders:

and firefox 3.6 correctly renders:

Update:
Fixed browser issues by updating a script reference in a referenced user control to use ResolveUrl. Now browser issues are fixed. Still wondering where to put Databind.
