JQuery :: Decimal Is Rounded Somewhere Between Ajax Call And Request.form?
Feb 15, 2011
I have an ajax call on a page which POSTS data: longitude and latitude. In the Javascript the two variables I pass in "posLong" and "posLat" are both decimals, something like: 50.81472239. When I do request.form in my .aspx.vb page which I've called, the value has now been rounded to 51.

I am trying to use Rounded Corner buttons in my ASP.NET website using AjaxControlToolkit's RoundedCornerExtender. When I use this on a Buton control, I get an error saying "htmlfile: Unexpected call to method or property access" to which I can Break/continue.
When I run the sites, it gives me an error "Unexpected call to mathod or property access".Here's the screenshot:

I'm using HttpModule to capture requests to the web server. Before processing the page I'd like to check the values contained in some keys of the Request.Form collection and according to some logic change if necessary. I'd like to do this when BeginRequest event is fired. The problem is that the Request.Form collection is readonly.

I have a requirement by which I need to have something like below as the background of my asp.net menu item background.
NOTE: The menu is populated by sitemapdatasource which is dynamic depending on querystring.
I was doing some googling up and found that I can apply JQuery's rounded corner functionality along with asp.net menu item.

My Request.Form keys are all prefixed with ctl00$container name$ and then the key I want.
How can I get the regular key name working?
Visual example from the immediate window:
I want to use:
? request.Form.Item("stationIdea")
but it won't work because the key is:
ctl00$content_innovation_body$stationIdea
as retrieved by
? request.Form.Keys("4")
so only this works:
? request.Form("ctl00$content_innovation_body$stationIdea")

While adding the parameters to get/post request they need to be encoded in application/x-www-form-urlencoded form. So do we need to encode values each time ? Does JavaScript have any method for that ? What are the possible caches ?On server side when we read the values we do not decode them we directly say Request.Params["key"] and that returns value. Does that mean that they are automatically taken care when we read the values?

I m trying to access a data after invoking a URL which redirects the output to another page with query strings.ie:
$.ajax({
url: 'http://foo.com/results/bar.aspx?fooid = 123&more=1',
success: function(data) {
[code]...
Reponse results empty. This URL is a redirect to another page with query string, I already have a page that parses the query string and write the output to a page. But response is blank.

I am just wondering that, is there anyway to make an Ajax request using jquery ("$.ajax") and making partial rendering without using the .NET Ajax framework (without script manager).
I have tried this before, but it's executing the page_load every time and not reaching to the pagemethod.

We're trying to implement functionality that intercepts, inspects, and alters if needed data in the Request.QueryString and Request.Form collections.
Since Request.QueryString and Request.Form are readonly, is it possible to use a HttpModule to do this without Reflection or Response.Redirect?
We're thinking that we can construct a new HttpRequest, and replace the original one. Would there be any implications in doing this?
I know mocking this object is impossible without using HttpRequestWrapper, but wasn't sure whether ASP.NET sets other things beyond the constructor.

This is a input
<input type="image" src="<%=Url.Content("~/images/shopping-cart.jpg")%>" alt="shopping cart" id="btnshoppingCart" name="btnshoppingCart" value="shoppingCart" />
when i browse the page with firefox and click on the input Request.Params["btnshoppingCart"] != null or Request.Form["btnshoppingCart"] != null is statisfied.
When i browse the same page with internet explorer 8 and click on the same input Request.Params["btnshoppingCart"] != null or Request.Form["btnshoppingCart"] != null is not satisfied. When i used the watch i saw that there is no key by the name of "btnshoppingCart" in either Request.Form or Request.Params if input is clicked from internet explorer. However when it is clicked from firefox there is value "shoppingCart" inside Request.Form and Request.Params against "btnshoppingCart" key. One more strange thing that i observed was that are two keys "btnshoppingCart.x" and "btnshoppingCart.y" inside both Request.Form and Request.Params whenver clicking is done from both internet explorer and firefox. This is happening against all inputs of type image irrespective if the input is present inside a html form or not. Forms are created like this
<% using (Html.BeginForm("Action", "Controller", FormMethod.Post)){%>
The version of internet explorer is 8.0 and firefox is 3.6.6

I'm building a greasemonkey script to make posting to craigslist a lot easier for our clients.
Basically the flow is this:
User logs into our system (established authentication cookies with asp.net)User navigates to a section on our site called "CraigsList". If they have the greasemonkey script installed it automatically opens up craigslist in a new tab.
The greasemonkey script then does a request back to our site at [URL] to retrieve a list of available items to be posted to craigslist.
This is where it fails because the request to [URL] is not including any of the authentication cookies. I'm not sure if it doesn't include the cookies because the request originates from [URL] and not [URL] or what. I know it's an authentication issue because looking at it in fiddler it returns a 302 and redirects to the login page.
Here is my request:

Basically this is what im trying to do:
I have tries using type: GET and POST but still no luck.
First request - Stores the product id in a session

sometimes what happens is redeem function gets called first and then setsession function gets called. do i need to put some delay or something between the 2 functions, so that they run everytime in their own order
